Internal Sales Coordinator

Job description

Due to internal promotion a vacancy has arisen for an Internal Sales Coordinator. This role can either be based at our Lancaster city centre offices or Ulverston site as suits the individual. Travel to the site where you are not predominantly based will be required about one day a week. Flexible working is also offered.

You have responsibility for generating high quality quotations to fulfil customer enquiries for OTAQ products and services. You are expected to ensure that all quotations are technically and commercially acceptable, meet the customer requirements, are “fit for purpose” and are costed in accordance with the relevant procedures. Following purchase order placement, you will have responsibility to ensure works order files are set up correctly to enable other departments to deliver agreed scope of work.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand existing customer relationships
  • Working closely with the commercial, engineering, operations and finance teams to create quotations that satisfy customer needs
  • Professional verbal and written communication with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Scheduling the timely execution of quotation activities
  • Effectively utilising organisational systems, tools and skills to ensure clear and consistent filing and tracking of multiple quotations and works orders in line with company and ISO9001 processes
  • Advising engineering and operations of forecast workloads
  • Identifying opportunities to increase quality and efficiencies and driving continuous improvement
  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Good ability and experience in using business organisational software tools such as SAGE, MS Excel + other MS Office programs to facilitate high level of control, data accuracy and efficiency of internal sales activities
  • Effective relationship building skills with internal stakeholders and service providers to ensure effective team working and common focus on satisfying the customer
  • Mathematical and problem-solving abilities
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organisational and time-keeping skills, achieving deadlines
  • Task oriented and attention to detail.

Salary: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
